Olympiacos and Juventus are currently level on points (as with the rest of Group A) but the Italians are ranked higher in the group table due to a better goal difference. Head to head, however, the Greeks have yet to win against their foes.

After debuting in the competition with a remarkable 3-2 home win against Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, Olympiacos seemed out-of-form when they faced Malmo. The squad inflicted their Greek opponents with a 2-0 away defeat, made possible by a defensive disaster that Míchel’s lads were not able to immediately fix. Roberto and center-back Alberto Botia had a mix-up, which Malmo’s Markus Rosenberg took advantage of in order to slot into an empty net. As result, Olympiacos lost their chance to score the opener. In the second have, Rosenberg netted another goal and put the final tally to 2-0 in favor of Malmo.

Juventus incurred their first defeat of the season at the hands of Atletico Madrid. The squad scored zero in their battle against the Spanish club and have conceded one goal instead. Juve possessed the ball for the vast part of the battle but failed to test Atletico goalkeeper Miguel Moya. Heading into the meeting with six straight wins in all competitions backing their form up, Juventus looked rather anxious in the early stages of match. The team struggled to break into Atletico’s defensive line, causing Carlos Tevez’s goal-bound attempt to not materialize. Atletico’s Arda Turan was the only player in the brawl to successfully place a goal at the back of the net.

Champions League betting tip: Juventus will score all three points against Olympiacos.
