2014-2015 La Liga Predictions: Week 10 (Part 5)

Sevilla-Week 10

Athletic Bilbao vs. Sevilla

Match Date: 02 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: San Mames

Athletic Bilbao

Athletic Bilbao’s Ernesto Valverde is hopeful that the victory against Almeria will serve as the team’s “turning point.” The squad has been struggling in the domestic league and almost hit the rock bottom pit of the league table after a series of unfortunate events.

The said performance was indeed, disappointing, considering the fact that they have successfully earned their first Champions League qualification this season.

Sevilla is considered as one of the strongest clubs in Primera Division this season. Occupying the 2nd spot of the table and trailing Barcelona by just a mere point, the Sevillistas still have a hang-over from their Europa League success last season.

They are the current favorites of sports betting sites in the upcoming match and there is little possibility that they will let victory slip into their fingers.

Athletic Bilbao 1-3 Sevilla

Villarreal vs. Valencia

Match Date: 02 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Martinez Valero

Villarreal will try to seek redemption at home after losing three (3) crucial points to Sevilla. The result of such match ended in a drop in their La Liga rank. Villarreal currently occupies the 8th spot of the league table.

Nevertheless, the club is eager to move on from the said slip and return to La Liga’s elite.

After a 3-0 loss to the newly-promoted Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia made a  grand comeback during its match against Elche. The club slapped three (3) goals to their previous opponent to propel its rank to the 4th spot of the La Liga table. Elche, on the other hand, could only respond with a single goal.

Despite the confidence that Valencia currently feels, they cannot be too complacent as Villarreal is one of the toughest squads in the league. The possibility of ending in a draw is high.
