Elche and Levante are both struggling to make significant impression in the Spanish top-tier football. The sides have already been (or are) positioned within the drop zone in several occasions since the season kicked off, implying major dilemmas in their form, discipline, attack, and defense. They are currently among clubs at extremely high risk of leaving the league by the end of the season, which practically makes minnows of the tournament. Thus far, only Elche were able to achieve a top-flight victory in the past six weeks of La Liga, which they obtained from their most recent battle against Athletic Bilbao. Levante, on the other hand, have remained winless since their surprise triumph over Valencia last year.

Online betting tip: Elche and Levante will share the spoils.

Sevilla vs. Malaga

Match Date: 19 January 2015 (local)

Match Venue: Estadio R. Sanchez Pizjuan

Continuing their magnificent streak this season, Sevilla made sure that they will remain unbeaten for a fifth consecutive week in La Liga by winning their fixture against Almeria. The clean sheet victory was fed by a marvelous pair of goals from Vicente Iborra and Coke, who scored the double within only five minutes since the opener was served. This placed them very highly in the league standing, which now approaches the fourth spot to put them nearer to a possible Champions League play-off round seeding.

Malaga, like their rivals, are also having a generally better season compared to their last. The current seventh placers have so far won nine matches and forced a draw in four for a total score of 31 points. They were beaten only once as per their last five appearances in the Spanish top-tier football.

Football betting tip: Sevilla and Malaga will produce a thriller, but the home team will eventually (and narrowly) carry the day.
