Although Valencia have never been able to go back to the top of the league, they nevertheless maintained an intimidating form throughout the competition. They have consistently been part of the top six in the past 17 weeks and were part of the top two on six non-consecutive occasions. Thus far, Los Che have yet to succumb to their enemies as of their eight fixtures in both La Liga and Copa del Rey.
Almeria fell into the drop zone once as of the 18th week of the season, and were only able to rank higher than the 10th spot once. The past few weeks were a mixture of hits and misses for the side, with wins they achieved against Real Betis, Celta, and Malaga, a draw with Getafe, as well as a defeat from Sevilla.
Online betting tip: Valencia will score multiple goals at the expense of Almeria.

Villarreal vs. Athletic Club
Match Date: 18 January 2015 (local)
Match Venue: Estadio El Madrigal
The last four matches between Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao produced three draws and one victory for the away team. Their most recent fixture, at the first leg of their La Liga battle this season, rendered them equal with a 1-1 final score (Pina 47’ and Aduriz 83’). At the current league rankings, however, the squads are quite distant. While El Submarino Amarillo comfortably sit within the top six, Los Leones struggle to barge into the top half. The former also posted a positive goal difference while the latter had more goals conceded than scored. As for their individual players, only Luciano Vietto, who hails from Villarreal, was able to rank within the 14 goals scorers of the season.
Football betting tip: Villarreal will narrowly win against Athletic Club.
