2014-2015 Serie A Predictions: Week 15 (Part 2)

Juventus- Week 15

Juventus vs. Sampdoria

Match Date: 14 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Juventus Stadium

Juventus’ confidence is currently at its peak. The Bianconeris pulled off a scoreless stalemate against the strong Atletico Madrid to qualify in the competition’s next stage. Apparently, the football betting favorite will be taking all the positives in the said match to secure another important win in the domestic league. Their upcoming opponent, Sampdoria seems to observe a “no loss” policy strictly. And so far, this has been generating positive results for La Samp.

It is for this reason that Juve cannot afford to relax when they face La Samp. This is despite the fact that they’ll be playing in their own ground. Sampdoria is a strong squad. Occupying the 4th squad alone, takes tons of skills and impressive stunts on the pitch. Its 5-match unbeaten streak is also a manifestation of its spectacular performance.

Considering the threat that Sampdoria posits, there’s nothing wrong with assuming that the match might end in an even steven finish. But since Juve is not a pushover squad, expect it to generate a down the wire match and come out with a narrow victory.

Juventus 1-0 Sampdoria

Juventus- Week 15

Parma vs. Cagliari

Match Date: 13 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Ennio Tardini

Parma and Cagliari will engage in a survival battle that can either lift them out of the relegation zone or pushed them further in the table’s rock bottom pit.

Prior to the winter break, Parma and Cagliari found themselves in a desperate position. Both clubs are in dire need of a victory to retain their Serie A status.

The host just hit the bottom part of the table after losing to Lazio. It was their 4th losing streak and within the span of 6 matches, the club has only collected 3 points. Yes, they had only won once. Their current scenario readily impacts the team’s morale, but they have to move on soon.

As for Cagliari, the club currently thrives on stalemates. Like Parma, it is also within the relegation zone, but they have more points to boot. Between the two, it is Cagliari’s form, which makes them a heavy favorite. It may not be the best form compared to other squads, but their possibility of leaving the relegation zone is high.
