While they may have been winless for nine consecutive weeks, Stuttgart are at least gradually showing some signs of recovery with their last two matches having ended in draws. The side have among the weakest streaks in the competition and are top picks for relegation. They raked up only 21 points from 25 fixtures although their goal difference is not necessarily the worst of all. Regardless, they should earn victories in their subsequent battles especially now that there are only nine match weeks left before the season draws to a close.

Hamburg are ranked not too far above Stuttgart, and like the hosts, they are struggling to keep themselves adrift of the drop zone. At number 14, Die Rothosen have only accumulated 23 points from 25 matches with a goal difference of -13. Their last few results, however, are quite comforting as they earned two victories and one draw out of four battles.

Sports betting tip: Stuttgart and Hamburg will split the spoils on this fixture.

Wolfsburg vs. Augsburg

Match Date: 22 March 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Volkswagen Arena

Worlfsburg earned the final spot (at least for now) for the Europa League qualifying following a 1-1 stalemate with Braunchweig in Bundesliga. Their ranking is actually one spot lower than last week’s but it nevertheless provided them substantial hope of barging into the UEFA’s second-tier league. Generally, Die Wölfe are doing quite well in the German top-flight football. Indeed, Dieter Hecking’s men have had some troubles in the two matches prior to their battle at the Eintracht-Stadion. They incurred back-to-back defeats from Hoffenheim and Bayern Munchen, and for that, they lost six points which could have been crucial in their placement on the table’s higher reaches. But the side are very resilient and they will do just fine in their next tourneys.

Augsburg’s three-match unbeaten streak was put to an end after Schalke 04 stole two goals from them and brought all three points all the way to their home. Thus far, the side have already amassed 38 points from all their Bundesliga fixtures this season. This sent them to the top eight and offered some possibilities of their berth into the Europa League. Their goals total to 38 while conceding 36.

Online betting tip: This clash will be a tight one, with Wolfsburg to win over Augsburg on a very small margin.
