Despite maintaining a good lead, the Bavarians cannot afford to rest on their laurels.


Jerome Boateng, one of the club’s trusted defenders will be sidelined because of a calf injury.  Joining him is Manuel Neuer who’s currently nursing an injured right knee.


Boateng and Neuer therefore add to the Bavarian’s seemingly growing injury list and apparently, this issue creates a pressing concern to the team. Surely, the depth of their squad will be tested. Although it is easy to say that the Bavarians are the online betting favorite over TSG Hoffenheim, you cannot disregard the possibility for the league leader to succumb to its first defeat or settle for an even steven finish.

Hoffenheim needs to move on from its recent defeat to the newly promoted FC Cologne. The former suffered a 4-3 loss after the latter unleashed a come from behind rally that gave them the three (3) points.


Pitted against the Bavarians, the club can exploit the injury issues of its opponent to snatch a well-deserved win.

FC Cologne vs. Hertha Berlin

The past week witnessed Cologne in its spectacular display of a grand comeback. After experiencing a narrow defeat to SC Freiburg, the squad propelled its rank to the 10th spot via stealing the spotlight from Hoffenheim.


Cologne took an early lead, but a resilient Hoffenheim sealed the equalizer before the first half ended. However, with only seven (7) minutes left, a clinical Pawel Olkowski sealed a hero’s goal to help the squad snatch three (3) crucial points.


Hertha Berlin

Hertha Berlin’s demise continues and it seems that the squad is having a hard time recovering.


For the second time around, the capital club experienced another loss, which brought them close to the relegation zone.


The club’s inability to capitalize on its home court advantage forced them to spiral downwards in the top-flight league, thus, increasing its chances of losing its top-flight league status by the end of the season.
