Ligue 1 Match Prediction: Nice vs. Toulouse

Match Date: 01 March 2014 (local)
Match Venue: Allianz Riviera
Nice
A late goal by Guingamp’s Mustapha Yatabare inflicted a 1-0 away defeat for Nice, who are still without a win in three league weeks. The home side were clearly very determined to earn all the spoils as they have been failing to seize the win since December, which is kind of disappointing considering how good they were in autumn.
Claude Puel’s men were the clear underdogs at the Stade du Roudourou and had to endure several frustrations after none of their attempts were successfully converted. Goalkeeper David Ospina, being the only man that kept Les Aiglons in the deadlock for 90 minutes, was so enraged by the penalty awarded to their opponents that he earned himself a red card by strongly disputing its legitimacy with the referee.
Current standings place Nice at number 15, still nine points above the relegation zone but are suffering from a -8 goal difference.
Toulouse
Toulouse’s inconsistency are causing them serious troubles. Being placed in the top half is not a guarantee to finish the season without regrets, especially when they have been notorious of committing fouls in dangerous areas.
TFC’s past five league matches only awarded them with five points, collected from two draws and just one victory. At home, they are surprisingly weak. Outside their own grounds, however, they have displayed some commendable imprints. They remain unbeaten for five straight weeks on the road, bagging three triumphs and two stalemates.
Sports betting tip: Toulouse’s rare ability to perform better outside their stadium than inside will be a major warning for Nice. But the latter are also well-equipped when playing on their own turf, having won four of their past five home fixtures. This match, therefore, is slated to end in a thrilling draw.
