Caen can consider itself lucky for forcing Montpellier, which was the online betting favorite then to settle for a stalemate in their encounter. This earned them a point, which saved them from hitting the relegation zone. Nevertheless, Caen cannot be complacent since it is the goal difference that separates them from Lens.
