Neither Stoke City nor Fulham had their last battle end in complete success. Stoke City suffered a goalless defeat from Tottenham Hotspur which further halted their chance for a EUFA seeding. Fulham meanwhile, shared the points with Hull City for a razor-sharp battle that rendered both sides with two goals apiece. The draw helped The Cottagers remain one spot above the table’s foot but it still was not enough to lift them out of the drop zone.

The sides’ past three face-offs have so far yielded three victories for Fulham and two for Stoke City. However, their current forms suggest that the guests are not necessarily dominant over their hosts. This is particularly true when measuring their skills levels. Stoke are excellent in the air but struggle in shunning dangerous zones. Fulham show no significant possession of a certain skill but are clearly poor in defending set pieces and finishing scoring chances.

Sports betting tip: Stoke City will moderately dominate the scoring.

Swansea City vs. Southampton

Match Date:  03 May 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Liberty Stadium

An impressive 45-yard volley from Jonjo Shelvey against Aston Villa has placed Swansea City in a secure position to earn another berth for the next season of Premier League. Wilfried Bony was also one of the match’s top players after delivering Swansea’s opener and final goal. Pablo Hernandez earned The Jacks a goal to sum up their score to four. A lone goal from the Villans made the final score sheet 4-1. The victory, which would count as their 10th this season, places Garry Monk’s side in the top dozen.

Southampton did not need to score a goal in order to win over Everton as their opponents did all the work to provide them with all three points. First-half own goals from Antolin Alcaraz and Seamus Coleman put the Saints in the lead early in the competition and the scoring stagnated on the same tally towards the match’s finish. The victory Mauricio Pochettino’s men secure their seeding for next season, although their chance at earning UEFA berths is now impossible.

Online betting tip: Swansea and Southampton will battle out a thrilling stalemate.
