2014-2015 Premier League Predictions: Week 17 (Part 1)

Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace

Match Date: 20 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Etihad Stadium

Right now, it is downright impossible for the sports betting favorite, Manchester City to lose or settle for a draw. Chelsea’s loss opened opportunities for the club to move closer and eventually, defend their title.

City is pretty strong at home. The team sports an unbeaten run in its last 22 matches and considering how important their upcoming game is, one cannot expect City to settle for a lackluster performance. This is despite the fact that Sergio Aguero is sidelined due to an injury. In its recently concluded Champions League match against Roma, the club has proven that they can perform well despite Aguero’s absence. City was able to advance in the next stage and avoid a dreaded early exit.

As for Crystal Palace, the club will need to work harder in the upcoming match. They can always wish for a draw, yet, considering how strong City is, such result seems to be a far-flung wish.

Manchester City 3-0 Crystal Palace

West Ham United vs. Leicester

Match Date: 20 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Boleyn Ground

Sports betting’s top pick, West Ham United should have an easy victory over the minnow Leicester. They’re the 4th best Premier League squad and they’ve been dominating the boards. Unfortunately, the even steven finish with Sunderland serves as a reminder that they cannot be too complacent or they might be forced to swallow another frustrating draw.

Indeed, Leicester will find it hard to even snatch a stalemate. They are winless in their last 6 matches, but as they always say, everything is possible in football and they can always pull off a stunning win.

West Ham United 3-0 Leicester
