2014-2015 Premier League Predictions: Week 16 (Part 2)

Manchester City- Week 16

Leicester vs. Manchester City

Match Date: 13 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: King Power Stadium

Leicester’s poor campaign this season hardly shows any signs of improvement. Pitted against Aston Villa, the squad suffered its 9th loss since the league started and has only accumulated ten (10) points. Therefore, it is no longer a secret why the team cannot seem to move on from the rock bottom part of the table. And with its next encounter pitted against Manchester City, there’s a high possibility that they’ll have to wait for another opportunity to score their 3rd win.

Manchester City

Just when everybody thought that Manchester City is already out of the title race, Chelsea’s disappointing slip opened another important opportunity for the Citizens. Just when many were already calling for Manuel Pellegrini’s resignation, the team has once again, proved their detractors wrong.

City’s 1-0 win over Everton brings them at the center of the spotlight. It was deemed to be a difficult match, but the team were able to overcome the odds and continued its 6-match undefeated streak. Apparently, the inspiration that the club has during its unexpected turn-around win against the Bavarians, remained strong and unwavering.

Perhaps, the only problem that the sports betting favorite needs to deal with is the injury suffered by its talismanic striker, Sergio Arguero.

Leicester  3-0 Manchester City

Manchester City- Week 16

Sunderland vs. West Ham United

Match Date: 13 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadium of Light

Sunderland has not won a single match in its last five (5) encounters, but four (4) of them were draws, one of them was the match against Liverpool. Although the squad gained just a mere point, the stalemate is a concrete proof that they’re not just mere push-overs. Somehow, it is through these draws that they have managed to stay out of the relegation zone and it is also one of the reasons why they cannot be totally belittled—why they can be a threat to a team as powerful as West Ham United.

West Ham United

West Ham did not forget its narrow loss to Everton immediately. Since the said defeat, the club had a 3-match winning streak, which enabled them to have a tight grip in the 3rd spot of the league table. And with their current match pitted against Sunderland, rest assured that the team will do everything to secure a stronger finish.
