2014-2015 Premier League Predictions: Week 14 (Part 2)

Liverpool - Week 14

Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa

Match Date: 02 December 2014 (local time)

Venue: Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace

A clinical Mile Jedinak destroyed Swansea’s hopes of earning three (3) solid points at home.  Crystal Palace’s team captain has successfully netted a penalty on the 25th minute to equalize and save the squad from slipping downwards. They now have a total of thirteen (13) points and currently occupy the 14th spot of the league table.

Although it is true that the club made a strong impression after snatching the even steven finish, their current form does not manifest strength. During its last six (6) matches, the Eagles has only collected five (5) mere points, which is not impressive at all.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa remains winless when the newly promoted Burnley forced them to settle for a stalemate last week. Many are expecting the Villans to rise to the occasion, but it was the visitor, which readily featured in the match.
Aston Villa currently occupies the 16th spot of the league’s hierarchy and is just two (2) points away from the relegation zone.

Crystal Palace 2-0 Aston Villa

Liverpool - Week 14

Leicester City vs. Liverpool

Match Date: 02 December 2014 (local time

Venue: King Power Stadium

Leicester City

Sadly, Leicester City wasn’t strong enough to protect its lead and counter Queen Park Rangers’ (QPR) attacks. The former clinched an early lead, yet, they struggled in the 2nd half.

Down at the rock bottom pit of the table, Leicester has only won twice and remains in search for its 3rd win.

Liverpool was probably done with its lackluster performance in its last three (3) matches that it was so eager to collect the 3 points during its encounter against Stoke City.

Prior to the said win, the Reds has been criticized for failing to remain in the title race, despite acquiring some of the biggest names in football. Its 3 consecutive losses also added insult to injury, thus, the win against Stoke gave the football betting favorite a sense of relief and a mountain of hope that they’ll win again.
