2014-2015 Premier League Predictions: Week 11 (Part 5)

Stoke City - Week 11

West Ham United vs. Aston Villa

Match Date: 08 November 2014 (local time)

Venue: Upton Park

West Ham United

The Hammers have been very prolific in pounding its opponents and could even aspire for an appearance in the international stage, but its struggle against Stoke showed that the club is still on the process of adapting improvements in their playing style.

Just recently, Stoke forced them to settle for a 2-2 stalemate that could have been an outright victory for Stoke if not for Enner Valencia’s resilience. Valencia scored West Ham’s first attempt to equalize. He also delivered an outstanding pass to the clinical Stewart Downing, who successfully converted the scoring opportunity.

The draw pushed the Hammers down to the 5th spot f the table. Indeed, it was disappointing, but perhaps, the good news of striker Diafro Sakho’s return will generate a new sense of confidence for the sports betting favorite.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa can barely endure its 6th consecutive loss in the Premier League. Like a house of cards, the club slowly collapsed and now they are sitting on the 16th spot of the table and at risk of falling in the relegation zone.

Indeed, Aston Villa is at their worst form—so worse that it even need to suspend its traditional Goal of the Month since the squad failed to score a single goal in its last six (6) matches.

West Ham United 3-1 Aston Villa

Tottenham earned three (3) important points to propel its rank to the 8th spot of the table. It delivered a good response after suffering two (2) consecutive losses in its last six (6) matches. The club hopes that its good run will continue and soon help them qualify in European competitions.

Stoke  is getting nearer to the relegation zone after the draw against West Ham United. The drop pushed them to the 13th spot of the table. Its current scenario therefore compels them to snatch a win to avoid another major setback.
