2014-15 English Premier League Recap: Week 3 Matches

As with the past few weeks, the third week of the English Premier League was a combination of both spectacular stunts and some lackluster performances. There are storylines developing and the typical powerhouses are quite losing their flare.
Both clubs from Manchester—former champions United and defending winners City—performed rather poorly in the league’s third round of fixtures. City recorded their first defeat of the season from Stoke, at the back of excellent showings in their first two matches. United, meanwhile, continued a mediocre streak for their campaign as they finished their third EPL fixture with a goalless draw versus newly promoted Burnley—this was in spite of Angel di Maria’s debut presence with the club.
Liverpool, Swansea, and most notably Chelsea completed the week with the best results among all fixtures. The Reds earned a three-goal clean sheet against Tottenham Hotspur while The Jacks also bagged the same result from West Brom at home. The Pensioners were the biggest winners of the week, having netted six goals against Everton which eventually put them at the league table’s summit.
Newcastle United and Crystal Palace as well as Leicester City and Arsenal all obtained one point from the same week, with their matches resulting in stalemates.
Current standings suggest Chelsea as the top online betting favorites, followed closely by Swansea and then by Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Liverpool. In the mid-table are Hull, Stoke, and West Ham United while in the bottom three are West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace, and Burnley.
