Terkini bola sepak berita UEFA – Serie A side Lazio received a fine of £32,500 from UEFA due to racist chants shouted out by their fans while playing against Tottenham Hotspur in a Europa League group game.

Lazio have not played past through rival Spurs, as they ended the match 0-0. While Andre Villas-Boas, manager of the English side, alleged that he was not able to hear any racist chants during the game, his players Jermain Defoe, Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon complained of supposed monkey sounds generated by the audience supporting the Italian side.

The fine against Lazio is in ill timing for upcoming matches on the Champions League and Europa League. UEFA plans to arrange those matches with activities co-organized by Football Against Racism in Europe.
