2014-2015 Premier League Predictions: Week 22 (Part 1)

Aston Villa vs. Liverpool
Match Date: 17 December 2014 (local time)
Venue: Villa Park
The story so far
A disappointing loss to the struggling Leicester compromises Paul Lambert’s stay in Villa Park. The defeat pushed the squad to the 13th spot of the league table. The team’s demise is further highlighted by its 6-match winless run and poor scoring, which Lambert hopes to resolve via securing Carles Gil on a £3.2M transfer deal.
On the other hand, Liverpool’s current team form speaks a different story. The online betting  favorite is undefeated in its last 5 matches and it looks like they will continue their unbeaten run when they visit Aston Villa. Despite Liverpool’s improvement, there is no guarantee that Mario Balotelli will be included in the starting XI. Stories have it that the controversial striker is out for a move to Juventus.
Prediction
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Burnley vs. Crystal Palace
Match Date: 17 December 2014 (local time)
Venue: Turf Moor
The story so far
Burnley just came from an impressive win against Queens Park Rangers and is expected to continue such performance in an attempt to totally veer away from the relegation zone. The squad currently occupies the 17th spot with just a 1-point lead over the relegated Hull City. Considering the good start that they had, expect the squad to capitalize on their home court advantage when they clash against Crystal Palace.
Speaking of Crystal Palace, there is very little possibility for the squad to wave the white flag immediately. Similar to Burnley, it also emerged as the triumphant one against the strong Tottenham.
Expect a down the wire match to take place between the two.
Prediction
Burnley 1-1 Crystal Palace
