2014-2015 Premier League Predictions: Week 15 (Part 1)

Newcastle United vs. Chelsea
Match Date: 06 December 2014 (local time)
Venue: St. James Park
Â
Newcastle United
Newcastle United shall be capitalizing on the absence of Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic. Matic will be serving a suspension that will sideline him during the upcoming match.
Other than the loss of their opponent’s key player, the Magpies also boasts a strong form at home and has already kept three (3) clean sheets during their last three (3) home matches. They will readily exploit this situation since they know that the Blues aren’t so clinical at St. James’ Park.
However, the club needs to deal with injury issues that could make life difficult.
Â
Chelsea
Despite Diego Costa’s absence, this did not prevent the football betting favorite, Chelsea from continuing their undefeated streak. Didier Drogba readily stood out during the said match and with Costa’s return, Jose Mourinho will have a pool of attacking options to choose from.
As mentioned, they’ll be missing Matic and they’re not so good performance at St. James Park could increase the possibility of ending in a stalemate.
Prediction
Newcastle United 1-1 Chelsea
Â
Queen Park Rangers vs. Burnley
Match Date: 06 December 2014 (local time)
Venue: Loftus Road
Â
Queen Park Rangers
QPR’s lackluster performance when playing outside their territory has readily pushed the squad into the rock bottom part of the league table. Such scenario therefore, increases the pressure for the squad to snatch a win in their territory.
Since they have already conceded an average of two (2) goals during their last eleven (11) matches, they are in dire need of improving their defence.
Burnley
Burnley’s unbeaten 4-match streak made significant improvements in their current rank. The club jumped into the 18th spot of the table and while it is true that their still at the relegation zone, they only need to develop a better goal difference and they’ll veer away from the bottom part of the league table.

Prediction
Queen Park Rangers  0-1 Burnley
